Welcome to Broken Reality Online (BRO)

When you start playing the game the first thing your going to say is "This game is hard" or "This game sucks". It is like any game you play, it's always hard to grasp what to do.

But don't sweat it, this guide here teaches you all the basic stuff you need to start playing the game. Once you finish reading this guide I can guarantee you'll love this game after few days of playing.

Before you start reading this guide it would be best to learn how to search for tutorial in this thread rather then scrolling down post-after-post to look for the answer you need. When you look at the Legend post press "?" key or "Ctrl+F" keys to open a search feature, then copy and past any guide your searching for in the legend post to get there immediately.

When you start the game you will already have a homeland setup for you.

When in homeland when the BRO timer reaches xx:x0:xx and xx:x5:xx without doing anything you will regain 20% of your HP.

If you want to setup homeland in another land just do these easy steps :

1- Click on

2- There should be a small link on bottom page saying : Setup Homeland Here

3- Once done you'll have to wait few minutes until you can do anything else.

There are 2 servers and "Classical Server" has 7 stats while "War of God Server" has 4 stats :

War of God Server :

: Health Point = The higher HP, the longer fights you can survive
: Body Stat = Mythic stat and it increases both Body's Attack and Defense
: Mind Stat = Promethean stat and it increases both Mind's Attack and Defense
: Spirit Stat = Unliving stat and it increases both Spirit's Attack and Defense


Classical Server :

: Health Point = The higher HP, the longer fights you can survive
: Body Attack Stat = Mythic stat that increases your Body's Attack
: Mind Attack Stat = Promethean stat that increases your Mind's Attack
: Spirit Attack Stat = Unliving stat that increases your Spirit's Attack
: Body Defense Stat = Mythic stat that increases your Body's Defense
: Mind Defense Stat = Promethean stat that increases your Mind's Defense
: Spirit Defense Stat = Unliving stat that increases your Spirit's Defense

Depending on you stats you can either do "Bonus Damage", "Absorption Damage" or "None" which means your raw damage is your attack.


Bonus Damage :
Bonus Attack increases your damage on target depending how big your stats is against enemy stats. For example :

Your stats > Target's = Your attacks will have xx% Bonus.

But attacking on players gives you bonus 25% damage depending on what race you are and what weapon you use (Example : Mythic = Body Weapon / Promethean = Mind Weapon / Unliving = Spirit Weapon).


Absorption Damage :
Absorption Attack decreases your damage on target depending how low your stats is against enemy stats. For example :

Your stats < Target's = Your attacks will have xx% Absorption.

But don't worry you still have a little defense, when a target hit you with a weapon of your race color (Example : Mythic = Body. Mythic enemy hits Mythic Player) you will get 10% Defense Bonus.


None/RAW Damage :
Well RAW damage is the damage you do when you attack a player. But if your stats is equal to your Target's stats you'll neither get a bonus nor absorption damage.


XP Reset
If you do not like your Stats & Skills setup you can always re-arrange your xp with free "XP Reset".

To reset xp follow these easy steps :

1- Click on

2- Click on "Reset Experience"

3- Type in your login password twice

After that all of your initial xp will return to you along with the xp you have gained in-game.

Note that you can use "Free Reset" ONLY when you are under New Newbie Protection (NNP / 7 days protection against players above 7 days old)

Leveling up your character is the main objective in this game if you want to get stronger and use more powerful cards.

For every 1000 XP you assign you get 1 level up.

To assign XP to your character follow these instruction video or the tutorial below :




1- Click on

2- Click on either of these 3 links


3- Depending on which XP type you chose you can raise any of your stats and certain skills if you have sufficient XP .

It is very important that you know how to equip cards or there's no point in playing the game at all.

When you choose a template your basic cards will automatically be equipped.

To equip cards follow these easy steps :

1- Click on

2- Click on "Cards"

3- Drag & drop cards into the action bar slot

4- Press "Set"

After that your all set to go on your wildest adventure in the world of BRO.

If you do not like your cards setup you can always empty your action bar with the "Reset" button which is right next to the "Set" button.

You can learn how to attack players or MOBs by reading the Combat Flash Tutorial or by following these steps :

3- Select Player or MOB


4- Lastly use your weapon card to attack

To learn how to move to other lands click on the and you will get 2 type of pictures :

1- Accessible Land :
Those which has picture are those lands you can travel to.

2- Un-Accessible Land :
Those which has closed doors shape with black and yellow strip in the center square of the picture are those lands that you cannot travel to.

Mining crystals is the one of most important factor in the game, without crystals you'll not get anywhere far.

Crystals has 2 uses :

Selling for Energies :
Energies is the game currency (or money) of this game. You can use energies for lots of things like repairing cards (very important) or buy crystals/blueprint/cards from NPC shop.


Crafting Cards :
If you are a crafter you can buy blueprint and craft them using crystals you mined to make a card. With cards you can get more money then just plainly selling crystals or you can use the card in fighting against MOBs or Players.


To mine you need one of these 3 cards equiped :

: 1 crystal per use

: 15 crystal per use (Obtained when you buy "Crafting" skill)

: 50 crystal per use

When you equip one of these cards go to any land and mine the crystals.

Crafting cards is one of fun aspect of the game, yo never know what the result you get when you craft. You either get good crafted cards or you fail crafting a card or the best and funniest part the blueprint goes BOOOM!! at your face and kills you xD (Though the explosion part rarely even happens) !!

To craft blueprints into cards follow these easy steps :

1- Click on

2- Select a blueprint

3- Drag crystals into the crystal slots

4- Press "Assembly" and good luck having good card


Note : Some blueprints uses "Natural" rather then "Crafting" skill, so blueprints with Natural can be crafted by anyone and everyone.

Neuronet (or what you might call it Private Message (PM) ) is used to talk to other players privately without any interference from anyone and is good way to gain private infos from other players or just have a friendly chat.

To use neuronet 1st you'll need to equip this card :



After that, select any players from the and press the neuronet node card to establish a neuronet with that player permanently.
